On November 13, the North American International Livestock Exposition hosted the 2018 National 4-H Livestock Judging Contest during their annual event at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Ky.

This year, Florida 4-H was represented by your 2018 state champion team from Orange County 4-H. Team members included Karli West, Khristina Harper, Christopher Nelson and Jaedyn Archer.

Together, as a team, they placed twenty-third overall. Individually, West was the highest scoring individual on the team, with 33 teams and 123 individuals competing.

Congratulations once again to this outstanding team on their state championship, and best of luck to them in their future endeavors in livestock judging and beyond.

Livestock judging is an event designed to test the evaluation and decision making skills of students through evaluating market and breeding beef cattle, swine, sheep and meat goats as well as the defense of their placings via oral reasons.
