On Saturday, November 2, the North Carolina 4-H Livestock Program hosted this year’s Southeastern Regional Livestock Judging Contest in conjunction with the N.C. State Fair at the NCSU Beef Unit in Raleigh, N.C.
On Thursday, October 24, the American Royal Association hosted this year’s American Royal 4-H/FFA Livestock Judging Contest in Kansas City, Mo., open to one 4-H and one FFA team per state.
On Saturday, October 19, the Clinton Central FFA Chapter hosted the annual Clinton Central Stockman Livestock Judging Contest at Clinton Central Junior-Senior High School in Michigantown, Ind.
On Tuesday, October 15, the American Royal Association hosted this year’s National 4-H Meat Judging Contest in Kansas City, Mo.
From October 11-14, the annual National Junior Horticultural Association Convention was held this year in Lincoln, Neb. open to 4-H, FFA, National Grange and independent youth from around the nation in a variety of horticulture-related competitions.
On Saturday, October 12, the Georgia National Fair hosted this year’s Peach State Livestock Judging Contest at the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter in Perry, Ga.
From September 7-10, the National Swine Registry and National Junior Swine Association hosted this year’s National Barrow Show and NBS Junior Classic swine shows at the Mower County Fair in Austin, Minn. to include the annual NBS 4-H and FFA Livestock Judging Contest on Monday, September 9.
From July 28 – August 1, this year’s National 4-H Forestry Invitational was held at the Jackson’s Mill State 4-H Conference Center in Weston, W. Va., open annually to one team representing each state.
From July 31 – August 4, this year’s Southern Regional 4-H Horse Championships were held at the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter in Perry, Ga., where Florida was well represented in the horse show as well as with youth from five Florida counties who competed in five educational contests.
From July 16-18, the Oklahoma State University Department of Animal and Food Sciences hosted their annual Big 3 Field Days Livestock Judging Contest in Stillwater, Okla., where youth from four Florida counties with a history of proven success, competed representing the Sunshine State.
